From my last visit in Paris, I went and visit the foundation Louis Vuitton and Sheila Hicks at the Pompidou

Shiela is a US-born, Paris based artist and I went to see her exhibition that presented more than 100 works, from huge sculptures to small woven compositions that really emphasizes her many ways of employing cotton, wool, linen and silk threads.

Takashi Murakami

Born in Tokyo in 1962, drawing on Japan’s political, cultural and social history, Takashi cultivates a world apart, both dark and fabulous combines Kawaii aesthetics with references to his country’s traumas like the atomic bomb or the tsunami. The profilic work of Takashi gives free rein to an unbridled imagination, saturated with coloures, half human half animal, mixing popular and scholarly cultures, Buddhist iconography and manga bringing tradition and modernity.  One of the influation is Andy Warhol and it reflects clearly in his work.

And while you are there, don’t miss the group exhibition in level -1 named “The man who capsized” The group exhibition includes artists like Yves Klein, Ian Cheng, Maurizio Cattelan, Mark Leckey, Bunny Rogers and Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster
